The twist, and the reason people stay
Same cut anywhere
Most barbers keep your cut in one person's head. We keep it in yours — written down, in numbers, in a file you control. Guard on the sides, guard at the back, length on top, fade height, neckline, beard length, finish. Any Bartwerk barber in any of the seven shops reads that card before the cape goes on.
- 01
Write it once
Ten fields, two minutes, no photographs. Guard numbers, lengths, lines, finish.
- 02
Attach it to a booking
Pick any of the seven shops. The chair card goes to that chair with the appointment.
- 03
Sit down and say nothing
The barber has already read it. You can still change your mind out loud.

Notes for the barber
Cowlick at the crown, leave the left side a touch longer. No talking before the first coffee.
This is exactly what the barber sees.
What one standard actually means
Four things are identical in all seven shops
- 01
One guard chart
The same clipper guards in the same order at every station, so a No. 2 in Aachen is a No. 2 in Wahn. Nothing is measured by eye.
- 02
One fit-out
Same chairs at the same height, same mirror distance, same lighting temperature. A barber moving shops loses nothing on day one.
- 03
One training bench
Every barber spends two weeks at the flagship bench in Wahn before taking a chair, and one day a quarter back at it.
- 04
One price list
€29 is €29 in Bilk and in Beuel. No city surcharge, no stylist tiers, no weekend price.

Before you book
Do I need an appointment?
No. Every shop keeps a walk-in bench, and every shop takes bookings. Booked chairs run to the minute; walk-ins wait for the next free chair, which on a Saturday afternoon can be half an hour.
Is the pass compulsory?
No. You can book, pay and get cut without ever creating one. The pass only exists so you do not have to describe your own head every six weeks.
Can I use the 10-cut card in a different shop?
Yes. The card is valid in all seven shops, it is transferable, and it has no expiry date.
What if the barber I know moves shops?
Their chair card reading does not change, because the chart is the same everywhere. And we will tell you which shop they moved to if you ask.
Do you cut children's hair?
Yes, under 12 at €19, in every shop. A parent or guardian stays in the shop for the appointment.
Do you store photographs of customers?
No. The pass holds numbers and words only. We neither store nor ask for photographs of customers.
