Careers
Chairs open in five shops
A written standard, fixed hours, and a share of the tips that is the same for everyone on the floor. If you want a chair where nobody argues about how long a No. 2 is, this is that chair.

Who sets the standard
Two people own the guard chart. Between them they train every barber in the chain and sign off every new shop before it opens.

Tobias Renner
Managing director · standards
Opened the Wahn shop in 2016 with two chairs and a written guard chart. Still cuts on Thursdays, still checks every shop four times a year.

Selin Aydın
Managing director · training
Runs the training bench in Wahn. Every barber in the chain has spent two weeks with her before taking a chair of their own.
What Bartwerk offers
A written standard
The guard chart, the checks and the finish are documented. You are never guessing what good looks like here.
Two training weeks
Paid, at the flagship bench in Wahn, before you take your own chair. Then one day a quarter.
Tips split flat
Pooled per shop and split by hours worked, apprentices included. No chair politics.
Fixed rota
Published four weeks ahead. Two Saturdays off in every four.
Move between shops
Transfer to any of the seven without re-learning the job. The fit-out is identical.
Tools and laundry
Clippers, guards, blades and aprons supplied and maintained. Aprons washed on site.

How hiring works here
Phone call, then a paid trial afternoon at the chair in the shop you applied to, then a decision. We pay the trial afternoon at the hourly rate of the role whether or not we make an offer.
